Hi guys, First post here, so basically I've worked for a metal foundry for 3 years now and been nothing but loyal and hard working as i really enjoy the job . It's only me and the owner who works there and we've actually usually got a good relationship. However I've been off ill for the last 3 days and actually tested positive last night so I'm currently awaiting a pcr test. I informed my boss this and he was trying to get me to go in regardless, he's high risk anyway due to having a partial lung removal, I wasn't comfortable with this and after checking government guidelines I have been informed that I should stay home if I have symptoms. I wake up at 11, walk the dog, work out, do some creative writing, and play a bunch of video games. This…

Just started a new fully remote job which relies heavily on other people moving projects forward, and so a fair bit of downtime on a daily basis. I would like to know if there is any way I can see if my work laptop has any corporate spying software installed to monitor clicks or mouse movement etc… I'm fairly computer literate but I'm not a programmer or anything and certainly don't want to poke the beast by making it look like I'm checking. Could some more tech savvy people give some advice on what I could do?
I’ve heard a few politicians start saying this. The mayor of NYC said it was for all the service works who didn’t have anyone eating at their restaurants. Probably more for the fossil fuel Execs who want people buying gas to drive to work and real estate moguls. Are people actually buy that returning to the office us to help the little guys?
