A gem I found on FB
Thoughts on the new Amazon 15/hr Ad?
I can't find the ad but I'm sure you've seen it. Do you think it is a push in the right direction or them just trying to make it seem like they are good? https://www.aboutamazon.com/about-us/our-commitment-to-amazon-employees Edit 1: I'm not supporting Amazon, I'm just curious on people's thoughts Edit 2: why am I being down voted?
Or is this like a meme scenario? If it’s really happening, I am utterly stunned.
I works and administrative job in California from 2013 to 2016. I was expected to work at a specific station during regular hours, so a shift. But my employer didn’t want to have to deal with taxes and insurance, so insisted that she hire me only as a contractor even though I wasn’t a contractor. How’s the statute of limitations past for me to finally complain about this to the department of labor?
I see posts from this subreddit in /All frequently, and I generally like what you have to say. A recent episode of one of my favorite podcasts, Blocked and Reported with Katie Herzog and Jesse Singal, had a segment about some Fox News interview with an antiwork mod named Doreen that seemed to paint this sub in an unfavorable light. Apparently Doreen was a holdover from the earlier, more extreme type. Did anyone here listen to this episode? Even if you don't know about the podcast, I'd be curious to hear your thoughts on the current state of this sub vs how it was conceived, or your thoughts on how it is perceived by…

I’m just here to vent because I’m pissed. I received the same $ amount last year after a shitty sales year and no promotion… I’m pretty pivotal to sales and the % over goal is a direct reflection of my work. Been with these guys for 6 years…. Genuinely hurt by this shaft.
