I just got an email about my work place hiring two new project managers. When I started it was already something like 24 people who were developers or engineers and 4 project managers. They keep having workers quit and saying they'll replace them but they don't, and then they hire another project manager. Now I've got 3 that I hear from daily. I think we're at like 17 workers and 8 project managers at this point with the two they added today. I swear if these people ran a dairy, and they had 4 cows and 3 milking machines, they'd buy 3 more milking machines expecting to double output.
What can I do during downtime?
Hey everyone! I recently got a new job the has better benefits, pay, and workload than my last job. But the job has a lot of downtime between actual work. I cant watch netflix or youtube and I can only spend so much time scrolling reddit or twitter. I would like to be personally productive. What can I do in an office setting to better my downtime?
I been here for almost 4 years and the benefits are so bad! we only get 2 days vacation days and they justified it by saying “but you have 5 sick days so that makes it 7 days”. I should've ran but I didn't. Now, I went to apply two sick day to then be told that they are accumulated through out the year? but I can use my vacation. I mentioned to them what they told us about combining them (which is terrible because when I actually am sick, now what?) and they said that the hours accumulating has always been like this but, they will “work with me” what?! as if this is a favor. what should I do?
Sounds tempting!
Update : So I’m a Manager
Welp… I got fired. The post made about being told that the comments I was making concerning refunds & how we can't be refusing refunds if it really is our fault is on my profile, idk how to link shit. So I went into work today to open the store & my GM was there. Nothing too out of the ordinary, she likes to make sure stuff goes the right way. But I go to the office to start doing the things, & she hands me a pen & points to a paper. It has my termination notice on it. I was fired for not staying after my shift when I picked up the opening shift for another manager when no one would. I also apparently didn't do prep right & my earlier comments were very offensive to one of my AGM (Assistant General Manager) who had to be consoled…
Sensation of pain is important to regulate behavior but when the pangs of hunger, of infection and extreme hot and cold when homeless are the sole motivating drive to take unbearable working conditions, they can truly fuck off
I saw you on r/antiwork
Hello co worker, I am relieved to see i’m not the only one at the office who hates this job and Is looking for a way out at B.A.
