Created a new account for this just in case. I am currently interviewing for a new job, and realised during the whole process how one sided it all is. I have to spend each remote interview justifying why they should hire me, proving myself by asking questions. Which of course I get as they want to make sure I’m not just lying on my CV. “Then at the end, ok do you have any questions for us?” Oh there is only 2 mins left, so you ask maybe one or two things. I want to push back against this and actually arrange another call where I ask them some things. Looking for ideas on what I should be asking and looking out for to make sure it’s a good fit. EU based btw, not US, so no point with health care questions or things like that 😉
So I work for a multi billion dollar company as an intern, my boss demanded for months that I stay behind everyday and plow the fields behind our office as he would lord over myself and colleagues wearing a large cowboy hat, his hands on his belt buckle. Eventually I was tired for this and decided to quit, quickly getting a job within a week, I naturally wasn't scared of the financial repercussions of quitting on the spot as I was beyond tired with this guy and it would interfere with the story. Anyway, I got an interview with the CEO of a new company who agreed to not only pay me triple my original wage, but also gave me the keys to his office, his wallet and proclaimed me king of the world. He's agreed to hold me up like Rose in titanic in front of the board next…

Our great american equality flag bearer MNC has a new rule that if we apply internal to job portal inside the company to internal positions a notification will go to the current manager . Now manager is harrasing me continously . Welcome to capitalism..!!!!

Does anybody else watch this show and laugh at the drops in the bucket that these CEOS make sound like they just severed a testicle to give their employee a pittance of the respect they deserve?
PTO and Worked Anway
So, I worked for a fairly large national company for a number of years. I relocated to be a “team player”, worked alone for about six months, worked while on PTO to ensure that the jobs got done. Racked up a ton of OT because of poor scheduling and required travel that sometimes had me working 20 hour shifts. Once Worked 25 hours straight and then got blamed when things went wrong. More often than not I'd have to rearrange my life to accomodate working hours for late/over night jobs and then have to turn around the next morning to do another on a few hours sleep. I also had to, more often than not, drive hours away to sites to accomodate do a job then immediately drive hours back, then work early the next day. TLDR: I worked way to much and was then let go because the employer…
Tired of My Dangerous Job
I am a woman who has been working security at my current company for almost 4 years. I mainly just deter people from breaking into cars. I was attacked by a random man last week at work and got a serious concussion. Worker's comp won't cover lost wages for the 2 days I missed work because of it, and they don't offer PTO. I've wanted to quit this job for a long time, but I'm in the process of buying my first house finally. I don't want to start a new job because it would prevent me from qualifying. It's so absurd that I'm literally putting my life at risk just for an opportunity to have a stable future. And then there's the obvious factor that I want to keep being able to pay my current bills and necessities. Today, I'm back at work, and a drunk guy started getting…
