The silence after Lmaooooo
Quit my job because I can’t trust anyone
Crazy Idea?
File this under crazy idea or not…. Say a person with a valuable skill set is thinking of retiring but isn't quite ready to just walk away and felt going part time would be a good way to transition out, both for him and the company. This would involve a flexible schedule and going to hourly pay. Since going part time would mean no benefits, this would be a savings to the company of 30% or more. Would it be crazy for the employee to ask to share in that savings, say with a 20% raise?
Young Man new to “corporate” work life.
Hey all, I’m new to the work force. I’m currently working on a degree for a job in the medical field. I work at a large corporation but wanted to ask the adults who worked their entire life. Will there always be somebody that will try to fuck you over at your job for their gain/to look good? Will there always be gossiping about other employees and talking shit? I worked my ass off and now I’m always expected to be that productive, always picking up other employees slack because they know I will work. It seems to have sparked some jealousy and all I want to know is, will this be everywhere I go?
So my tips are two weeks behind now. All I did was ask for them, I was told that because the owner isn't there they're not being done, then she said something like “are we happy with that” I paused for a while before she chimed in again with “is that alright” I sighed and said “uh, yeah fine.” Then she had to carry on. Had this little speach about tips being a bonus and shit, then ended it with “are you happy with that?” So I say “look, I'm not kicking up a fuss; but no, I'm not happy about it. So she says “are you serious right now!?” So I said we're talking about my money here, im finding out last minute and she interrupts telling me that i was told on the group chat (have checked since. I wasn't. ) and goes on about how good of…
A good reply?
Just wanted to get peoples thoughts and opinions. I’ve been working from home since august 2020 due to coronavirus and as of the 1st of March we are being forced to return to work full time over a 3 week period. A lot of people aren’t happy with this as they have become accustomed to the freedom that comes with WFH. Making work life balance so much easier as well as caring for children and loved ones. I supposed like most people I’m anxious about returning to the office, while working from home I was able to get healthy, mentally and physically through an exercise regime and not being tempted to eat bad foods. I was able to reduce my work time significantly because I could get everything done and didn’t mind staying back 30 mins as there was no commute. Has anyone successfully returned to the workplace? Has their…
