But not our wages? Should I say anything about this? They also made portion sizes smaller.
So, if you are paycheck to paycheck on 40k, and you quit to make 50k, that 10k is far, far more valuable to you than making another 30k is to someone making 80k a year with the same expenses. Keep that in mind for how much more worth it even more modest increases in pay. Keep calm and quit your shitty job for a better one!
I only worked a retail job (formally) for 2 days in total, being blessed with family support. I got it because I wanted to help out. It took 2 days to realize I was selling my entire day with only a tired window in the evening and bedtime to another day of being bossed around and feeling suicidal. After several years of empty promises, insults, and lies, I finally decided to apply to some outside roles in my industry. I applied to 6 positions, got 5 callbacks, and 4 offers! I am accepting a role at a bigger, better company for better pay and wages! I’m so happy. Now the fun part- I get to quit and let my managers know what I think! I live in an “at-will” employment state, so I’ve decided to notify them 24 hours before my departure. I’m the top sales person at this company, and my departure will surely be the death-blow for the brand. They’re going to have a bunch of old, expiring product on their hands that they won’t be able to move. Oh well, maybe this will be a…
