Job I applied for is spamming me

I applied for a job with farmers insurance, filled out the application with all the required information. Didn't get the job. It's cool, I am not mad about that. What does piss me off is that they have been using that info to now contact me with regards to a supposed quote I requested. Only problem, I never requested a quote. I have fantastic insurance and the price can't be beat, why would I want a quote from anyone else?

A few executive level HR officials will be hosting a Q and A with my college class Monday. What are some hard hitting questions I can ask them?

Just as the title states, a few senior level HR officials who are employed by large corporations will be doing a Q and A with a college class I'm enrolled in. The class itself is a human resources class. It is by no means difficult, but I have had some internal struggles while completing the work, as most of the teachings go directly against many of my own personal values. The professor who is teaching the course is known for her previous legal work in union busting and corporate protection. While I have some ideas in mind, I thought I would reach out to you folk and see if you had any questions that would make these people reveal the real dirty details of their work.

Boss thinks that because they’re not getting paid I shouldn’t either

Last year my boss reached out to me to create a workshop and I agreed. A few months later and mid way through development I asked about payment and he told me he would let me know what the rates schedule would be. Workshop is finished and a script is developed and promotional material is finished and I speak to my boss again and he explains how I'm not getting paid for the development of the course, only the presentation of it because he's not getting paid for it. We had a conversation where he asked me to record my hours spent on development and not log it into my invoices yet. I figured it would be a big pay out after it's completed. Title says it all, HR never showed up for my in-person, mind you, exit interview. Turns out, she has been out of office all week and never notified me. Should I be sassy and send her an email or just leave? Edit: today is my last day

MVP – Minimal Viable Product

I oversee a small team that has seen our workload quadruple in the last 2 years. I've been fighting for bonuses and promotions for myself and my subordinates for 6+ months and keep being asked for memos and metrics. I'm over it and planning to quit by June no matter what. As for my team, i've implemented an MVP practice – give me the minimal viable product to keep us compliant and clients off my back. Take lunch, log off at 5, run errands when you need to, use your sick and vacation days. We are done going above and beyond.

Sending my first Resignation next week

So I've been working with this org for 5 years now. I joined right after college and ngl I learnt a lot. Good people, good balance, good pay, interesting work. Enter a new line manager (“LM”) and things start rolling downhill. This “leader” never took a stand, played postman between his sales team and upper management and discouraged any differing opinion/ new ideas/ risks whilst continuously pushing for 1.5 X older targets. I'm the youngest sales manager in his team with the best numbers but he still screwed my appraisals back in Oct last year. He sat on my mails for reconsideration of the decision (playing postman on this one too). I wore myself out reminiscing and banking on the aspects of this job I used to like to the point I couldn't take it anymore and asked for a two week leave citing I need a “mental health break”.…

Should I email the manager about pay?

Hi everyone quick question, If you currently have a job, and you already put out your résumé looking for a new one, and the manager of the office that you applied to emailed you asking about an interview time, should you ask for the pay and job description upfront? Or go to the interview and then ask? I’m not sure because I would have to make up a lie or takeoff the whole day pretending to be sick at my current job to go to the job interview, and I don’t wanna waste my time if she’s going to give me a low offer than what I’m currently making. So should I email the manager asking for the salary range? Or is that unprofessional?

Am i wrong for thinking this way

So long story short. Im currently going through a divorce. I took a weekend off from work to go out of town and was scheduled to work overnight sunday for monday. I cut my trip early to make it back in time to get some rest and showed up as scheduled. On the drive down i felt like i was getting sick and when i went to work i knee i was sick. Incould hear it in my voice i was cold but stuck it out for about 5 hours and ended up leaving early. I went to the dr that day and they told me to take 2 days off. I’ve reached the end of my rope with my employer

I have been hanging on by a thread with this company for the past month. I've been working there for 6 months. I'm late sometimes but I always do what “needs” done. This morning I got a text that told me my uncle had cancer. I kind of shut down. I was more able to communicate about 40 minutes after my shift started. I let my boss know and he called me telling me I'd be fired if I did not come in. I don't know what to do anymore.
