I feel like after reading a lot of these stories I should have done something about this boss and I wish I would have. When I was 17 years old, I worked as a sushi waitress in my hometown. The boss was a total creep. He would pull “pranks” on the girl employees by grabbing their boobs and putting ice down their pants and panties. I know this doesn’t even sound believable, but it’s all 100% true unfortunately. We weren’t allowed breaks unless we smoked, so of course I picked up that habit (that took me almost 15 years to break) but that’s besides the point. This worst part of all was that his wife worked there and instead of helping any of us she would just talk down to us and belittle us. I specifically remember her grabbing my face and shoving lipstick on my face because she didn’t…
She quit 2 days ago after her manager asked her to take the door as she was inputting a different customer's order. When my sister told her she would after she was done, the manager told her to get the f*cking door and the customer always comes first. My sister rightly pointed out that she WAS CURRENTLY helping a customer, but the manager just yelled at her again. My sister watched as a roach crawled all around and INTO the BBQ sauces used for wings. She also had to stop an order from going out due to a roach being in the food, and the rest of the coworkers were just going to ignore it. I'm proud of my sister for knowing…

How I tripled my salary in five years.
I was at a company for 10 years. I kept thinking they were going to reward me, that this year I was going to be given all the credit I was owed… but NO. Nothing. I started at $35,000 and ended at $53,000 over 10 years. They were shit and I finally had the balls to leave. I left for a similar company and had a decent raise. Went from mid $50,000 to $65,000. I spent 2 years at this company and it was going ok but I could see the writing on the wall. Many of the US positions were being eliminated and sent overseas. I asked for a substantial raise and actually GOT it. I was at $80,000 before I left. A former co-worker of mine had left this company and went elsewhere. He reached out to me out of the blue and said there was an open…
