What is this group about? To end work permanently? To make work life more sustainable and rewarding? Working towards not having to work any longer? I saw the crazy interview with one of the mods from here and just figured I'd stop in to ask what this place is really about. I'd love to work together to discuss solutions rather than an ultimatum.

So so many covid deaths are taking place amongst the underpaid and underappreciated Frontline workers like grocery store clerks, cashiers, stockers, and others. 11 an hour starting pay for deli, grocery, bakery, and customer service staff. We are over worked and under paid. Corporate has no clue nor do they care. Once a year they throw us a cook out to show their application and get rid of past date ground beef. In the meantime inflation skyrockets.

Ik certain visions of a communist future might involve the eradication of all or the vast majority of human labor (through automation). Is that kind of what we're talking about?… Cuz like, I'm down lol. I'm just trying to understand.

You may or may not agree with their cause, the people behind it, etc but one things for certain. A lot of big companies are losing a lot of big money. And THAT makes me happy.

I asked the company I work for why we get payed significantly less than other companies who offer the same thing. They have yet to email me back. All other questions get same day responses… I asked why our wages were significantly less. And if it was possible for any increases.

I'm curious to what anti work is about, and in open to be enlightened

It feels like everyone i know identifies themselves with what job they are working and I am the only one that sees more in people. When I meet new people or see people i havent seen in a while the first question is always “where do you work” or “what do you study”. The only thing they seem to be interested in is what job i have like its the only thing i am. It definetely seems to be the only thing they are. Everyone only talks about work and ask why I dont have a job yet or tell me I am lazy only because I want to do others thing with my live than having to obey some boss. I would like to be seen as the guy who makes music, cooks for everyone, grows their own food and enjoys nature and all the little pleasures life has…
