Why are you not recording?

!!!!Pls check the exact laws in regard to recording people in your country!!!!!!, If some management guy tries to scream at workers you can simply record it, once or many times, and then even anonymously send it to HR or other departments/people in the company.

Supervisor added more work to my plate and I’m expected to just take it.

I’m on mobile so please excuse formatting. I work in a Logistics company and recently one of my coworker quit. The account she had was tossed over to me without a heads up and it’s too much work for one person with my other accounts. Not to mention the manager who oversees this account likes to micromanage. Everything I do ends up being the wrong thing or just likes to nitpick. It just got to the point where I’m over it, especially since I’m not even being paid that much. Should I call up a meeting with HR and my manager and try to either find a plan for this account? I’m honestly at my last straw.

What’s a good excuse to not go in today?

My last day was Sunday, and now im supposed to be on a break until my new job starts me. I covered a day for my manager every week for the past month, and she asked me last night if I could come in and dish for her tonight because someone called out, and out of habit and my stupid anxiety I said yes. I really dont want to go back to my old job when i'm supposed to be on a break, what can I tell her? Im supposed to go in at 4 today :,)

How many vacations and days off do you take a year? Paid or unpaid.

For the longest time there was a culture that believed taking days off made you a terrible employee unless you were using PTO. As companies begin to “progress”, it seems that more are willing to provide days off. The only jobs I haven’t seen progress are customer facing retail and hospitality. In my last role for a small company, I was constantly taking unpaid days off but I was “corporate”. Our customer facing people were never given days off unless they had PTO (I swear I advocated for them, my role didn’t deal with those employee rules). In my new role, with a much larger corporation, … I don’t really know what flexibility looks like to them but I’m hoping it’s the same. I’m curious if this is just my experience and perception or if we’ve reached a point where going on a week vacation every few months is acceptable.

Ageism at my job

Hey guys, I have a question. So I’ve been working at this logistics warehouse for about 8 months now as a temp, and been working so hard so I can get hired by the company. I was supposed to get hired on the 6 month mark. Now side note, I’m also Hispanic and my English isn’t perfect, but I make due and have no issues speaking with truck drivers, but for my supervisor it’s somewhat of an issue. But now to the real question. I found out that my now best friend, who’s been working for 7 months now temp, is getting hired by the company. I’m so happy for her, but what about me ? So I asked him earlier today if I’ll be getting hired on. His answer was “no, you’re too young. You just got married and will be having kids soon. Will consider it next year,…
