I just need to vent about some of the practices of the company here including some that are actually illegal…(This is a work-from-home position) We use multiple programs that each require different login details, if one locks you out you have to CLOCK OUT and call them to reset all of the info. You are required to do this even though you are not paid for it. If their system starts having issues like lag, locking you out, not taking calls, etc, you are required to stay at your workstation, but not be paid. If you put in for PTO and have it approved, it may actually NOT be PTO, but instead unpaid time off. Was let go by my most recent employer. Reported abuses by my now ex-boss, and those complaints were ignored. A week ago, I received a severance agreement from the company saying I would get $9,000 if I didn’t talk negatively about the company in a public forum. Because of the latest government ruling, is that invalid now? P.S. Fuck companies that try to hide abusive behavior.
