I work for a small company and I am dependent on someone else putting calls on my calendar. There are of course tons of things I could be working on but over the past few months, I just have not had the motivation. Today, my manager has canceled the calls that were on my calendar and I am just sitting here watching my email and slack. I feel guilty about not doing anything but I also feel like it is their responsibility to make sure there is work to be done. I am of course worried that it might mean head count reduction but I don’t think me doing extra work is going to change anything. It is a well paying job and I am a senior resource so I should be actively working on process improvement but my manager is a control freak and at the end of the…

This gotta be a joke
I get paid 16.80 and work 40hrs a week and make up to 2200 a month and I don’t even make 30000 a year this how I know all this shit is a scam and there taking advantage of us, does anyone here genuinely make this much?
This is my first time working in the nonprofit sector, and it was great at first. I was hired to independently run a program: Hiring, training, and supporting people with disabilities for jobs in a company which seemingly everyone wants to work for. No one on my team officially works for the company; we’re contractors through a nonprofit. Originally, my supervisor was several states away and very hands off. We had a 1:1 video call once every week or two and a video call for everyone in my role about as often. Everything changed a couple months ago though. Someone who does my role just one state away was made my supervisor, and everyone else who does our job stays under my original supervisor. Let’s call my current supervisor E. She was pretty helpful when I started, giving advice and sharing documents she’d created. As my supervisor she’s exhausting, and…
Just interviewed for a job that seems stable, interesting, same pay i'm getting now but less stress. The only issue i have is the schedule. Monday through friday 8am to 5pm. I have therapy/psych appointments every couple of weeks but they are only available that time. same with banks, dentist offices and such. Yeah they can work with you sometimes* but I feel with not being able to get all those things scheduled on one day isn't always doable. I'm afraid of losing all the help i'm getting and how if i make “too many appointments” in a month or so it might make me look bad or lose the job. I'm so aggravated how everything is within the same work hours, how is anyone supposed to get things done?!
Just love how happy this is yet speaks the truth
Pain only for us not for the rich
Advice Welcome
I work as a Process Safety Coordinator for a Poultry Company. I am paid hrly. I put in for two half days (4hrs) on a Wed & (4hrs) Thursday. On the following Sunday my boss sent me a text asking if he could take off one of the vacation days to save on OT for the week. I was appalled and explained how messed up it was to even ask. This morning I discovered my check stub only listed one (4hr) vacation day used instead of the two I used. My superiors went ahead and removed the other day even after I expressed disapproval. What do I do? I have the texts. What would be the probable outcome for those involved? What are my options? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. *Feel free to express your feelings about my superiors blatant disrespect for his employee.
