That guy who’s always asking people at work for $5, $15, $1?!?!?! Third place I’ve been where this happens haha. Two different careers.

Yesterday was the first day at a new job and I'm not going back. Was helping the owner with a submersible water pump and as I'm screwing on the hose , he says “wrong way stupid” when it was he who was the stupid one. I told him “don't ever call me stupid”. I left a job last week the day before my final work day of my 2 weeks notice. On Thursday (my last day was supposed to be Tuesday), they sent me a FedEx signature required letter stating that since I didn’t complete my last day of work (my cat died so naturally I didn’t come in), that it was job abandonment and to return my badge & come back to clean out my desk. I sent a certified letter back to them telling them to go to hell. This job had mandatory OT, no sick pay, and if you called out they’d pull you into an office for an hour to tell you how you were hurting the organization and that you needed to know that you made work harder for everyone else. I want to make this short, sweet, but detailed. I'm 23 (M) and started this job a year ago. I've gotten the hang of the job and gotten good at it even. We are a contracting janitoral service for a big company but things have been stressful. Our boss and Supervisor have had long infighting amongst themselves. Although it seems to me that the Manager (boss of our team) is the one who causes majority of our issues I can also see the supervisor being problematic as well (Putting his hands on my physical person in a non sexual way and being sexist.) If I give my two weeks notice and the company policy is to immediately escort out ppl who do so, doesn't that constitute a firing in Indiana? Or is it that since I declared intent to leave, its a moot point?

I'm seeking advice. My manager and district manager and Hr have been gaslighting us for months. Way too much to put into one post. Basically we got a new manager, she sucks. Breaks labor laws. Is rude to customers and coworkers. Doesn't listen to people. Makes people quit and then the rest of us have to suffer. I've spoken to hr and the DM and the manager herself about it multiple times. I'm from France, so I thought I would give you a bit of feedback from what goes on over there. Over a year ago I joined this company which works in a very specific field. They have an agency which is a 15-minute drive away from my home, and they offered a good starting pay and were opened to teaching beginners the particularities and technicalities of this profession which was entirely new to me. They taught me everything, from the ground up, and I was really surprised to see that, despite joining in October, they still gave me a Christmas gift package in December, which must've easily been worth over 100$.
