This is so disrespectful.
Hello fellow redditors, Background: I am currently an engineering student in college. I have one more year left (considering I don't fail any classes) and I have a summer internship lined up. I am somewhat liberal in a sense where I do like freedom but I am envious of all the women who get to stay home after they get married or have kids while there boyfriends/husbands provide for them. I grew up in a family where both of my parents worked (although my dad did make enough income to support our family) because my mom was very career oriented. Not to mention there are layoffs that can just happen at any given time that's out of you're control. You can't control raises even if you're performing well companies will just come up with some bullshit on why they shouldn't give you a raise. Or promise you one but don't give one to you. Or that housing/renting has gotten out of control that even having multiple roommates to help split the bill is getting tough. Depending on where you live you may need more than 2-3 people just to get a room. It just feels like each day we are fighting a…
