Maximum profit minimum wage
I suspect this gets posted alot but hear me out. So to simplify things, let's say everyone gets a raise in line with inflation. I suspect many would turn a blind eye to record profits but as we know this isn't the case. What can we do? It seems to me the extremely rich and powerful are untouchable. So I've heard the only thing more powerful is the workers in numbers. Am I alone in watching closely what happens in France? It's unacceptable year on year for earning to be eroded while big business make record profits. It's unacceptable, they can still make healthy profits while paying employees a living wage. War it is then, to quote a film (bonus points for guessing the film): “I'm just getting started. I'm gonna pull the whole thing down. I gonna bring the whole f***in' diseased corrupt temple down on your heads. It's…
I accepted a contract position out of desperation, have a timecard for each week and besides hating it from being salary only the past 6 years, my boss thought 10 minutes was 'enough' to withhold my timecard as not accurate. It's an hourly rate. Get this, the week withheld wasn't even my full hours meaning the amount was much less than what they'd normally be paying me. So it was not only stupid, but extremely childish and petty of her to pull this and I've already begun applying elsewhere. Really pissed me off how petty this was despite giving no real reason to create doubt. F you pay me lady.
That is all. Feel free to join and complain.
I love my job!! Work scheddy posted

Help with layoff process
I got laid off the beginning of this month. I worked at a call center and have been there for over year. I've worked multiple campaigns, and when being switched to the last campaign they made it clear that it would be temporary for peak season and then we would all be transferred to new campaigns. I agreed to it because they assured my job will be safe and they will just reassign me once peak season ends. Well that didn't happen and I got laid off. When they contacted me, they didn't explain how my accrued PTO will be paid out or if it will. Or if/when I should receive my final check. Now HR is not responding, previous team lead, and campaign supervisor is not responding… What can I do? I know my final check isn't a lot, but I live on a budget and that little bit…
