I’m sick of this nonsense that you are born into this shitty world and now you have to struggle to get through life and work just to survive. Are we not so much more technologically advanced and made enough progress that we could all be doing something that better serves our lives. So basically I’m born and then I work my ass off all my life and then I die. Society is an absolute joke! I think the entire planet should plan to stop working and see how these fat cats, governments and corporations make due without the masses doing their bidding.

My manager was overheard telling fellow employees that now that they have “firing power” they were were looking for “just one reason” to fire an employee they did not like. Imagine treating someone’s livelihood like a game. You simply do not like someone and fire them for reasons outside of their job performance. That you are actively nitpicking their work to stumble upon just one justifiable reason to fire them. You take away someone’s INCOME and ability to provide for themselves because you don’t like them. The same manager that regularly talks about having crushes and being “in love” with some of their employees, admits to flirting with these employees in front of their partners to make them and their partners uncomfortable. And this person has the power to fire someone. The same manager that walks around talking shit about employees behind their backs, calling them “assholes” etc. How can…

I was never told that if you use up all your PTO that you couldn’t have a day off. I needed a day off for apartment maintenance to fix a leak and had 7 hours of PTO. I asked what I need to do because I needed the leak fixed. He said I’d have to be moved to Part time without benefits if I’m working part time hours. Also, we run out of PTO because he make you take it in 8 hour intervals, sometimes 4 if he’s feeling nice. Is any of this legal? I never received a handbook with this info nor spoke of this rule when I’ve taken time off when I didn’t have enough PTO. I think he just wanted to let someone go because work is really slow and he hired too many people, and I was the highest paid one. Edit: I’m in California
