Put on “extended leave”, revoked my healthcare and now claiming I need to pay medical out of pocket to be cleared and then they will see if they have work for me. Is any of this legal? More details in comments.

Retaliation

So last Friday I brought my boss a list of concerns from my department about a new policy he decided to create. He took it as insubordination and lost his mind. Gave us this whole angry childish speech. This week he retaliated against me by permanently demoting me to pretty much the bottom of the company. I've already spoken to HR and it will hopefully work out, but I'm mad and freaked out.

blursed appraisal

I know you exceeded expectations, but at your level I expect you to exceed expectations. And since I expected you to exceed expectations, that means you met my expectations. And since you only met my expectations when I expected you to exceed them, I have no choice but to put 'failed to meet expectations on your performance review.

Being blamed for something I didn’t do

I work directly with a family taking care of an adult male with disabilities. Long story short, a medication he takes went mysteriously missing (an SSRI) and I got a text around ten pm Sunday asking where it was. I told her where it was (I know for sure) and figured she probably moved it somewhere and would find it. It apparently never turned up and I'm being blamed for it going missing. Said woman is known for losing things and won't admit it's possible she's to blame for this. She sent me a very rude and unprofessional text around 11 pm that night after not finding it, freaking out about it being gone. I went back to work after my two days off this evening, and she's now put all of his medicine away and hidden it from me. I eventually had to awkwardly ask her to give it…

how to word it..??

What is the right way to word that you hate the company and job you currently work at during an interview for a new job? Some background is that I have worked for the same company for over ten years. Its in a warehouse, very physical work. I actually enjoy the work. Its the management and schedule structure that has been wearing me down lately. The longer I work there, the more I hate it. I know that this is probably common. I managed to get an interview as a merchandiser for a distribution company that is also union. I'm nervous about them asking me why I have worked there for so long and never decided to move up or pursue a management position. The truth is because management is extremely overworked, stressed, miserable and I never wanted to put myself through that for an extra 3 dollars per hour.…

Legal Recourse for Retaliation? HELP

If anyone has any employment law experience, please advise! I don't want this to be long but I work for a nonprofit organization that is trying to push me out. I live in California and have been working at my current job for less than 5 years without much issue. This job is extremely draining and has no regard for work-life balance. Therefore, I have been exercising boundaries like ensuring I use vacation/sick/personal days, for example. Another important boundary I made was to no longer have coworkers on my social media. That was a year ago and just recently I set another boundary of no longer carpooling with coworkers because I was doing all the driving. Now there is a target on my back and my boss had a meeting with me to “check in” and see if everything is okay as well as to get my side of the…

someone from the EU told me that in their country employers pay employees for their work up front a few weeks in advance.

(I don't remember the exact country) This was an online conversation, and when I replied that that idea was novel to me as an American, they were puzzled. The person then asked me how an employee can work if they have no money to live, get an apartment, food, etc. And I got sad because that just makes too much damn sense. Anyway, is there anyone from the EU or who's worked there that can deny or confirm these outrageous claims?
