I’m tired of interviewing at companies that preach about work/life balance and talk about home much they care about their employees well being and mental health and give the bare minimum of vacation days. (I also want to say that vacation days are a luxury in the US and I wish there was a mandatory minimum for all of those who get none). Anyway I’ve interviewed with companies that do care and have told me they give two mental health days a quarter not included in PTO. I’ve worked with people who care about me and my mental health issues and have encouraged me to seek therapy and help me out. But 10 days is not enough if that’s what you preach. 10 days in nothing especially when you underpay and over work people. I’m tired of talking to recruiters who are embarrassed by there company’s compensation.
Anyone else feel like this when applying for jobs? But everywhere you work, it is filled with lazy sacks of shit, or people who you wonder how they passed the interview? I think the processes and the test especially, are the biggest waste of time. You have to play a stupid fucking game, and all for what!?!? So they can fire you at a later date because the corporate POS wants a bit more profit.

My partner, whose been a supervisor to one employee, handled many tasks that created the identity for this brand and has found itself in a very tough situation. The job being fully remote (we reside in CA) and having employees all in different time zones reporting had always put a lot of pressure on working all hours of the day and night. The last six months the company has gotten a bit flipped upside down with 6 executive roles terminated, and 2 high-level execs terminated. A promotion has been in line for 6 months but the good ole moving the goal post has been at play for a while. Now my partner has absorbed one of the executive roles and is overseeing 5 employees now. My partner's mental health is absolutely shot at this stage. They were thinking a promotion or a significant bump in pay could at least help…
I work in a fast food place and my boss has been threatening to replace me for the past month now and she just hired a 14 year old girl, I had to train her knowing full well my boss would cut my hours or straight up fire me, she came in at 11am and left at the lunch rush which is 1pm in a fit of tears after a customer said he'd kill her over onion rings and 2 days later my boss took her off the schedule after she didn't show up for the weekend. I couldn't wipe the smug look on my face for the rest of the day knowing my boss was pissed. sorry just wanted to post a little story time of how shit my boss is teehee
Life is a sad cycle
Someone please tell me that there are employers who encourage their employees to do what they think is best and let them have ownership of their work…
Are We Actually Making Changes?
It often seems like we only talk about change in these communities yet nothing is actually changing. Has there actually been any significant changes since people have been quiet quitting and demanding better pay? What else can we do? Do we protest? Go on strike? I think we all can benefit from a change.
