I work in California, and we just had a blizzard. I live in the mountains and we got hit hard with snow, as well as unsafe road conditions (ice, mudslides, etc). I’ve had to call out of work 3 of the 4 days I was scheduled because I got snowed in. I was advised by my GM that I need to submit sick hours in order to excuse my absences. What’s going to happen when I’m actually sick and I need to use sick hours? Is this even legal?

When I got hired, it wasn’t based off of my resume it was just an informal in person interview and I’ve been working at this place for just over 5 years and I’m looking to get out. This place is a nonprofit aimed to help women, and I’ve had enough of it. Older women thinking they can push me around just for the sake of it. I’m the youngest woman here. Waffle House Cashier Asked For Tip?
Not sure if this is the right sub to post in but I wanted to get some opinions on this. I went to Waffle House the other night for 1 blueberry waffle. I’m broke right now and trying to save but I had $5 on my card and I love their blueberry waffles so I wanted to treat myself. I walk in and it’s empty, I tell the girl I am ordering to-go for 1 blueberry waffle. I asked her how much they were and she says $4 so I figure I’m good with the $5 on my card.
