Recently just put in my two weeks at my current company. I work sales at a small tech firm. Originally took this job a little over a year ago with the promise of making some pretty big money. I did really well this last year and exceeded my quota. My total comp plan for this job was $60,000 base salary and then 75,000 commission if I hit quota so 135,000 total comp. During the entire year I was unable to see how much money I was making off commission, even though I asked multiple times. Finally they provided it starting in January, but at that time they changed my comp plan which I never signed. They told me that the changes were benefit me, but that's not the case at all. I got my W-2 back and saw that I made less than 80 grand last year. I was tracking…

Fired for “Discussing Salary”
Found out a supervisor was making $11/hour and showed them their job being advertised for $14 – $18/hour. I also refused to be supervisor myself unless I was making $15 at least. It’s a daycare so for obvious reasons we should never be alone with all the kids at once, yet there she was. I had refused to do the same solo shift without a promotion and raise so it all suddenly…
REAL AMERICANS ARE HOMELESS!
So, this isn't a big deal but something I just found personally very funny and caused my bosses wife (the companies HR person) to have a red face. So my company is a very small company, about 10 people, and are currently hiring for a marketing role among a few other roles. The role they have open isn't the best paid, and doesn't offer even hybrid remote (like my job does). The company had only interviewed 2 people for the role due to low interest and extended an offer to one woman who accepted on the spot after a 4 hour interview (I know, madness). Then last Monday the person emailed my bosses wife to say they had accepted a counter offer for more money in their current position. Bosses wife came out to the office to tell boss and the rest of us that the person had changed their…
