Hi all, ​ Not trying to troll or criticize, I am just trying to learn more about the goal of this sub. The description says that this sub is for “those who want to end work” and “want to get the most out of a work-free life”, so I take this as being the goal. I'm just wondering what ideas there are to achieve this goal? Although an individual may free themselves from work (by saving up enough money and living within their means), I don't see how society itself can actually “end work” without society collapsing. ​ I just want to know what you all think is the best way (or a good way, or A way) to achieve this goal. Or what are some things you guys have been doing to work towards “ending work”. Very curious to know 🙂

My title says it all and maybe I’m being dramatic. Idgaf I’m not working while writing this so…. The description of this subreddit is “a subreddit for those who want to end work, Etc, AND etc” paraphrasing of course. Yet as per the MOD escapade last month or whatever, it is clear that not everyone on this sub has the same viewpoints. Therefore the conjunction at the end of the List of viewpoints of redditors that are apart of this sub in the description should be changed to an or to reflect how we include everyone who has anti work feelings 🙂

If you are threatened with termination or are in fact terminated, don't block out company names. Call them out for what they are. Can't fix a disease without first acknowledging what it is.

Hi, At my company we have a manual process for data mining for leads from Linkedin and its quite tedious. I was wondering if someone can write a code to help me. If youre in India I can pay you in Indian rupees since im in India.. Any other advice is also welcome. I know about linkedin extractors but it doesnt seem like it gets all the data points that we currently collect..

I've heard a bit about here, like the whole interview thing Fox did, but I want to know what this sub is actually about and what you're all actually like, and I figured where better to find out than to ask here. I've done a bit of browsing, and I keep seeing this sub's posts come up in recommended and just wanted to ask some things about beliefs and all if that's okay c: Are you all completely against working, or just the way workers are treated? What would your ideal society actually look like? Thank you all in advance!

Hi, I haven’t worked corporate for a number of years as I now run my own business but in the past the employer asked for references after the offer letter. My GF is in the process of applying for a job and they have asked for references after the first interview. Is this normal now? She doesn’t want her manager to know she is looking elsewhere. There is no guarantee she will get or accept the job as there has been no concrete compensation offer. This seems to be another way to skew the compensation negotiation in favour of the employer. How should she handle this? It’s for a nursing job.
