That time of year again
Anyone else’s multi billion dollar company you work for pass out measly 3% merit/inflation increases every year and that’s their raise for the next 12 months unless you get promoted? As a manager I have to pass these out to my team. It’s pathetic really, for some it’s not even $1 raise per hour.

Or some other VIOP number. This should be used for anything work related. Your employer should never have your real number. GV numbers function like real cell numbers call and text capable. But you get to decide how you are notified. So you can “turn off your number” so that if your boss calls when it's your day off, it goes straight to voicemail, and you're not bothered. Same for text, if you have do not disturb active you won't even get a notification if someone texts your GV number. Just a tip.
I don't want any additional work, I've been wracking my head on how to answer this without having more stuff delegated to me. I tried to just say “I am still learning my place here and learning how to contribute” but he said that wasn't a good enough answer. He is a nice guy, it's just company bullshit that he has to do this and I have to answer. Any suggestions would be appreciated. For instance: He asked the same question about him, “What are a few things he could do to support me better?” and I initially told him “you're doing great!” and he said “no, I need you to find something” so I suggested we HAVE MORE TEAM BUILDING MEETINGS lol because honestly those are fun. Thank you!
That’s it. That’s the post.

She told me that they barely give raises. So I think I’m getting paid more because I started off working at a higher minimum wage rate than her. She’s also over 30 years older than me. Anyone experienced this before?
