I’m a professional writer and have been looking for a job outside the field with no luck. I’ve sent my resume to tons of people and they’ve all said it looks great and given me minimal edits and no jobs have come by even though I’ve applied to hundreds. I talked to my aunt who is the CFO of a company and she has spent hours helping me rewrite it. Does anyone actually teach this? I remember being taught in college which is what I followed when writing my resume and after redoing it I can say it sucked. Like who is actually out there helping people know what to include and how to successfully get jobs? And why don’t jobs give you feedback when you apply or ask questions to understand a bit more? My depression and mental health are declining with the pressure from my job. I want to have FMLA leave for up to 12 weeks. My doctor today declined and said it doesn’t qualify – I know others that got FMLA leave for that and I’m not sure what to do now. Can someone that has taken that leave help me figure out next steps?

Hi, I recently finished up a part time job at christmas time. Myself and the employer discussed that we didn't work well with each other and decided not to continue working together after the new year. It's completely amicable decision from both parties I felt. I did 25 hours a week over three days. On the first day of my last working week about halfway through my shift after returning to the workplace after doing deliveries, they took me outside to say I can finish up now and they will pay me for the last week. I said I'd be happy to work for the last few days as I was getting paid for them, and they said I didn't have to as things “had wrapped up before the end of the year, earlier than expected” I invoiced them for the 25 hours of the last week. We should be doing more locally. I'm looking into ways to get supermarkets to offer cashiers chairs. It seems small, but only voting for presidents wont work. We should be using This platform to organize and drive local change. Peace and Love.

I will no longer be working and will be living off savings and compensation. Work broke me by age 40 and I will not get another job. Now the housing market and cost of living needs to get their act together so I don't have to be worried about that.
