Don't mind me and my “radical opinion”, I'm just having a decade-long mental breakdown over the idea of working for 40 more years with my physical and mental health conditions. I've tried getting disability 3 times and have been denied despite having been diagnosed with moderate autism and PTSD, along with physical health issues I prefer to keep private. Even if I did get disability, it's like $800 a month. You can only pray for a Section 8 apartment and even then most of your money is already gone. I'm getting desperate. I literally want to do some kind of sugar baby thing and be a stay at home wife because I can't see a future for myself otherwise. I'm terrified of going homeless or going truly insane. If you are truly disabled and have a diagnosis from a professional, you LEGALLY should be protected from working. I'm over it.…
Hello, so I'm from Portugal and looking for help. I want to labor strike, with a sign in front of the office, all day, that demands Emissions reduction and plan to 0. Full remote work (everyone at our company works at a laptop and can WFH). Thing is, I'm not in a union. So this would be a one-man show, even though I believe a couple of my co workers might join in aswell. I'm a valuable long time employee and they might fire me (won't take bread out of my mouth, so i'm good) but it will be painful for them. So just looking for general advice. Can they legally retaliate? If so, in what ways?
I am in ohio and am looking for a sales position. I am disabled and am perscribed medical marijuana (and have a medical marijuana card as part of the state program). The laws in ohio mean that employers are allowed to fire or refuse to hire me if I test positive for marijuana on a drug test, despite it being prescribed by a doctor. I am not functional enough to work (or live) without it so it is not an option to stop taking it. I take it once a day at night, before bed. I do not take it during the day and it does not affect me during the day. I'm not sure how to handle this situation- should I refuse to take a pre employment drug test? Should I be honest about it and hope it doesn't disqualify me? I have already tried to fake it once…
If you do, what is your job and how do you get away with doing next to nothing? And if you don't mind sharing, what's your compensation for the role?
