So to preface this I have a pre-existing back condition that can flare up and cause me excruciating pain. I explained this to my team lead in the first week I started my job. On Sunday afternoon after a week of pain my back flared up and left me in agony. When it gets to that stage I can’t sit, stand or walk. Even lying down causes me pain. On the Sunday night I got no sleep even after heavy duty pain meds and anti inflammatories. I made a doctors appointment Monday morning and called my team lead to inform them I would not be coming in that day. I went to see the doctor and the pain was so bad I broke down in the doctors office after telling me they could do nothing but send me to ED. I ended up sitting in ED for 7 hours yesterday.…
It would be hard for me if I ever have to go back to 2 day weekends. I think psychologically what makes the biggest difference is finishing the second working day of the week. After finishing the second working day, in my mind I know that I'm halfway done with the week. But with 5 day work weeks, after finishing the second working day, I still have 3 more working days. My boss and I had a falling out but he refuses to fire me. Instead he just refuses to give me literally any hours. If I quit can I collect unemployment until I find a new job? I’m in the United States. Or am I just screwed?

Second, if the team hits a club target you get a percentage of a “kitty” which is something like $2000. So if you hit your individual target and team target it might be something between an extra $800-$1000 a month which still isn’t great. The role is customer service and membership sales but there is a survey score that has come into play now that if the club is under a certain score, it cuts commissions in half. Now, this survey is not…
