I (17F) live in a US state that is about to get hit hard by the snow storm coming up. My mother is very protective and says if the storm gets too bad, she won't take me in because she doesn't want to risk getting hurt or trapped in snow. I work at a fast-food restaurant, so can I call out and cite the storm as a reason/my mother's concern as a reason for not being able to show up? Also: I cannot drive myself, as I only have a learners permit. I know this is definitely a dumb question, but I'd love an answer just to play it safe. Edit: Yeah, Yall are hella right. I was hesitant about switching jobs due to changing health insurances/fear of change.
