No punches missed and asked twice to fix it. Worked a ~9hr shift and the store is closed on Sundays. Should I call payroll or other resources?
Nobody wants to work anymore. The job:
Ive been doing this for years and it really helps if you like to take halfdays off or wouldbe unexcused days off. Within the first couple of weeks casually, as if by happenstance, mention you have a kid, a partner and a niece/nephew. I have lil mickey my 4 yr old stepson who I've known all hus life, Angie my gf who lived a couple of apts down w her mother (who recently passed. Rip). Mickeys been sent home from daycare, angie snd mom jave gotten flats, weve had events thst didnt allow me to go to surprise weekend shifts. They're a blessing. 🙂
This goes for mainly US restaurants that I’ve worked at. Not only do US restaurants pay below living wage, every one I’ve worked at does not allow employees to order or make themselves a meal on the day of their shift. We have a dishwasher who leaves his A.M dishwashing job then catches the bus to our location to wash dishes for nearly 16 hours a day. The man passes out while working nearly as once a week from hunger and hydration but is not allowed to eat anything at work. Make it make sense to me.
Did I get a Christmas Bonus this year?
Hi everyone, I am creating a project called “Learn with Python” where we aim to answer, discuss, document, debate, and more on a variety of Python-related questions. I am reaching out to the Reddit community for help in making this project a success. Here's how you can help: Writing questions for “Learn with Python” – This is the most important task, as there is already around 2000 questions here: https://gist.github.com/jjjjamess/560fc71c7d5569718f0724f48110b35a. It is important because I can't do it alone, and I need your help to make this project a success. Sharing more questions you'd like to see discussed in “Learn with Python” – Do you have any specific topics or areas of Python that you'd like to see covered in more depth? Let us know, and we'll make sure to include them in the discussion. Answering questions in “Learn with Python” – If you have expertise in a particular area…

Late Night Thoughts
I just had a thought about this guy that was in a diversion class I attended years ago. The premise of the class is to learn what you did was wrong, so they had you go around and tell everyone what you did. Most of the stories were typical—food from Walmart, CD’s, etc. Then we get to this guy. He says he worked for one of the big cell phone carriers in the state. He’s about to hit his threshold where he’s guaranteed retirement, and they lay him off. Now he’s been working for this company for 15+ years…so what does he do? He uses his vast knowledge to crash the network. Whatever he did, he messed it up so badly that the service was down for 2 weeks. Probably cost that company millions, maybe tens of millions, of dollars in revenue. Because they didn’t want to pay his benefits.
