Billionaires? The media corporations they own? Mega corporations? Their executives? Multimillionaire politicians? I can't help but feel people are on the brink of understanding they've been hoodwinked. That 44 Democrat senators, 36 Republican senators and Joe Biden just committed an anti-union, anti-labor, anti-worker and anti-American atrocity. They are so close and the only remaining belief they have is that if the strike had proceeded hard working Americans would have suffered. But again I ask, who is saying this? Can someone tell me their names and what they've done to earn this trust? I can't help but hope if we get past this final belief that's hanging on by a thread it will trigger the awakening this country has needed for a long time now.
Edit: She did not sign anything Also, Walmart sucks.
I disappointed my new manager.
I finally left my old job. Woo! I’m so happy to be out of there. I started a new job and it’s been okay so far. I told my new manager that I prioritize my education. I won’t sacrifice it for anything. She let out a disappointed, long sigh and said, “well, I can’t do anything about that, can I?” Like duh, you can’t. I adore my degree and education. I haven’t been able to stop thinking about that comment though.
sudden change in WLB – for the worse
Everything was nice, the WLB was good. Then the company got acquired by another larger fish and the WLB changed badly. I am currently working on a project where the manager expects us to work all day long. He himself works till 2-3AM. And I don't want to know why and how, but this will always be a mystery He keeps saying this is critical and has a tight deadline. I wish I could just say fuck this criticality and tight deadlines. I can't be working 12-14 hours everyday and exhaust myself. I literally see blurr and severe headaches after the 10-11th hour. This has been going on for 3 weeks continuously now and every time he keeps saying how we need to pace up and match his level of speed and commitment and he literally asks us to be “robots” and keep working. I did hear of past employees…
Company refused to use FMLA
So I got fired today. I had 8 absences when I was in the ER and had several dr appts. I got FMLA from my dr and my work approved it. This was October 19th I got my document saying it was approved. Well the accepted it but never applied to the days I was out. After my mgmt claims to have advocated for me against HR I was terminated today. Two weeks before Christmas. I’ve never been written up I’ve been there over 2 years. I’m shocked.
