If your boss ask you to do something off the clock, don’t do it, even if it only takes 5 minutes.

Android development for internship
I just recently got an internship for web development but they made me do app development I have 0 knowledge of app development and was told to make the app in 4 days now I have to do the other part of the app in 2 days and show them I want to quit but I really can't because my school sent for this internship and yes i don't think I'm even getting paid
For context: 22, Associates degree, construction field, 20-24/hr Most of my days I'm able to power through and just sit and wait til pay day. Every once in a while I zoom out and go “wtf am I doing with my life” and spiral into an anxiety attack because I feel like no matter how much I get paid it's never gonna be enough as long as I have to continue to spend 40 hours/week to get it. 40 hours is a lot of time, time I would love to have to myself. And I feel like a huge majority of people realized this 'zooming out' during the pandemic when they had time to sit for those 40 hours and really think about what they're doing with them. We suddenly started dreaming again, planning for things we'll enjoy, figuring out hobbies and activities that made us happy and it felt…
Imagine dragging my half dead self out of bed to go to work and have people completely ignore/deny my experience and concerns as a black employee. Can't believe it's me. Send help.
This is a new episode that I just started listening to. It talks about remote workers being monitored by programs that take screenshots of them to find when they're idle. For one example, when someone got a text from their kid, they deleted that screenshot, therefore not getting paid for that time. It goes more in depth. I'm not sure if this is allowed but I thought it would bring some new info on what to look for.
Source. There are many estimates that have the number even lower. My point is that this place obsesses over boomers but y’all need to be talking to your friends. Gen X is the current problem.
