So there is a no show Amazon drivers are planning for Halloween. Would you say that is the right move after that recent death of a driver. I don’t know how Amazon gets away with that stuff and then some. If you’ve ever done a safety inspection on a van before starting a route, it’s obvious there’s a lot of problems.

Ceo of work sent out a letter and posted an article of ‘retooling our processes and bodies.’ This is not the first time I’ve heard of employees all referred to as bodies. And I’m wondering is this normal? It reminds me of a mass murder news headline . And it bothers me, like do I say something to the ceo how this is tone deaf ?

They will claim to create a positive and respectful environment but will dismiss any suggestion they dislike using highly subjective bollocks They will claim to be fair but will arbitrarily decide wages based solely on their whims They will claim to create an inclusive environment but will only be inclusive to diminish others or put themselves on a moral pedestal They will claim to give a chance to beginners but use that as a pretext to only hire people they can control And worst of all, contrary to the run of the mill rightwing authoritarian boss, they will advertise themselves as a caring and progressive person and much too many people will believe their lie. (This might be based on one or more true events. A boss is always a boss, please take care of yourself)

So my job took volunteers to stay after work to clean HVAC units on the roof, and told us we would get a full point off if we did so. We did so, then after the fact they “changed their mind” and only gave everyone half a point off, saying “it’s better than nothing” and “we don’t have to give you anything, we could just make you do it”. I’m pissed. The company is Cooper Farms Cooked Meats in Van Wert Ohio and they’re a bunch of crooked ass dishonest lying greedy ass fucks.

After 8 years of being worked to death I decided to apply for a transfer within my company and got it. However, my current boss is holding me hostage and threatening to block the transfer unless I stay with her for two more months and then work for her a day a week for an additional two more months. Somehow this got approved by HR. I am the only person in her group that does what I do. She blames me for being a single point of failure even though she is the manager and never hired someone else to be my backup for the whole 8 years I worked for her. I really do not want to leave the company because the benefits, especially retirement, are the best I am going to get for the two-bit town I live in. Any suggestions? Thinking of just going the idle route…
