Yep, 5hrs of work at $18hr is not even $100. Currently at work sitting in the bathroom and this realization infuriated me. I'm about to walk out I don't even care anymore. There's 24hrs in a day, only 12 of those hours is actually daylight (kinda) the other 12 is night where we should be sleeping. So if we're being technical here there's only 12hrs in a day, working 5 of those 12hrs doesn't even get me $100???? This has got to be a fucking joke!! Why are we as the working class still accepting this bullshit? Sorry for the language but I'm pissed.

Context is it’s a individually owned small business so no corporate anything. No HR to deal with not that I would anyway. Is there a legal justification for discipline or firing for someone wearing an n95 for any reason let alone their fragile health (which is frankly private info anyway)?
Am I owed waiting time penalties?
I'm in the middle of settling my wage claim for my final check that I never received from when I quit in August. If I quit WITHOUT notice, am I still entitled to time penalties for not receiving my final check on time? Also, if they decide that I am not owed my final wages for whatever reason, is there anything I can do about it?

Well that’s a new one
Altar’d State is the WORST
I am a brand rep at a store (just basic employee basically) part time in college. I saw they were offering $16 an hour base pay and it is only 10 minutes from my house so I figured I like their clothes and I like the amount of money so I go in and get hired. I’ve literally learned 2 weeks after being hired I replaced someone who KILLED THEMSELVES in September after a manager told her to get over it and stop crying and keep working, and she never came back into work again. Manager then quit. Store manager is salary and now working 80+ hours a week and I’ve been called every single day I am off since I’ve been hired 3 weeks ago to come in. I genuinely don’t know how to leave a job this horrible on a clean break and I also only just started…
So, last night my wife and I were hanging out with her coworkers and of course pay gets brought up in conversation. My wife works as a part-time intake specialist at a nonprofit counseling center. She makes $16 an hour. Her counter part is a full-time intake specialist who makes $19 an hour. When the full-time intake specialist found this out they were both in shock. They both do the same exact job. There’s nothing remotely different in what they do it’s just that my wife works less hours than the full-time intake specialist. Is it legal for 2 people to work the same job but get less hourly pay? Also, mind you my wife has worked at this place longer than the current full-timer there. Also, we are based in Texas. TLDR: my wife works a part time job making 16 an hour and the full-time person makes 19…
I want to quit. need advice
Ok so I have talked about my job before and how pointless of an industry it is. Basically I'm a delivery driver that makes pretty good money. We deliver uniforms, mats, and bathroom supplies to businesses. Why am I wanting to quit if I make good money? Well because I work extremely long hours, 14 hours a day sometimes. I'm a salary employee, which means I dont get paid for working overtime. I feel like I have no time for myself. I get the weekends off but big whoop. I go home everyday and have to go to bed almost immediately. So here's why I need advice. I have the delivery truck at my house because the warehouse is over an hour away, my route is about an hour south of me. Well how do I quit with the truck at my house? I have no way of giving it…
