I truly don't understand.
While there are a lot of arguments that have been proposed as to why. When we work at the office we are often too busy with work or the appearance of work while doing our jobs. When we work from home we can do side hustles or use that time to better our lives. Bosses don't like that and would rather have us be working and exhausted the rest of the day.
With so many of you being significantly smarter than myself, can someone layout a comparison between the two topics? I have seen a few comparisons on Facebook and I'd love to see a better comparison made. Also, please be nice to me. I'm not well informed on this topic. I'm also sorta dumb. That said: viva la proletariat!

I work in a homeless shelter for families. Severely underpaid, but it's my passion, and I'm good at it. A client has been routinely breaking the rules, garbage can for all drugs, openly smoking rock, getting high around their kids, sneaking their openly heroin addicted gf into their room (this “shelter” is actually small apartments). My “manager” told us to let any and all incidents slide, and his boss backed him up on it, so we were not to document anything. Couple nights ago, incident involving the cops, maybe weapons and some other stuff. Was not documented, severely going against our rules. Then- despite the gf being trespassed from the incident- she gets snuck in by the client again. My “manager” says higher ups have *special interest* in this family. Says it was documented. I go in computer, it was not. Client was not supposed to be on site due…
Earlier this week, I was selling my plasma for money. I will take any excuse to talk about how evil the system is. Complain to me just once about your job and I will stoke the fire. That being said, the lady who screened me told me that her job does not allow the employees to drink water during their shifts and it's considered a “hazard”. A number of employees have passed out and/or vomited because they were so thirsty. There is supposed to be free water in the fridge in the break room, but it has not been restocked by the company and nobody can remember the last time it was stocked. We ended up having the most incredible conversation about the company she works for, corporations in general, the rich, and change. It made me realize that although people aren't saying it, they are very angry. They want…
not anti work but some positivity.
so long story short, I had some life-changing events this year and had to leave my last job because of them. turns out that these events are a blessing in disguise, as my new company actually pays a living wage and one of the benefits is that they pay 100% of the healthcare premiums. it is nice to see some companies do it somewhat right unlike most others.
