My mother is a nurse at a well known hospital. She is currently dealing with a coworker who is majorly manipulative and tries to get EVERYONE in trouble. This lady knows the right things to say and when to say them to get her way and to get people in trouble. She has even reported one of the men in my mother's unit for sexual harassment and almost got him fired. One of the most annoying things she does on a regular basis is constantly butt into conversations and interjects very negative comments. One of her coworkers left the unit as the drama just doesn't end. Everyone in the unit hates her and by this point, management even knows she is a trouble maker. My mother as well as her unit doesn't know what to do about the horrible coworker. Is there any way this karen can be held accountable…
My brother came home from work and while ranting about his day to my mom, I could overhear him talking about me. Him and his coworkers all talking about how easy it should be for me to find a job right now, everybody's hiring! right?…. I've applied to every local fast food, grocery store, entry level, and remote job I felt I qualified for, and nothing. Not even a little. I'm feeling demotivated and depressed, like my worth is based on whether I can get a job or not. I wonder if the problem is my experience, I've only had one job before (I'm 20yo female) a job working as a park aid through work force but it didn't last long because it was seasonal and all my money I put towards helping my family. Paying off my moms debt and buying food. I am broke, christmas is coming up…

Worked for a company that mainly had begun to hire friends of family, family, or friends of family friends: essentially 45% of the company, a small office of no more than 20, represented people he personally knew. One could argue, maybe nobody applies, however, my boss only answered less than 50% of applications and often pulled resumes of people with little to no experience against people he knew with the same level of experience. These friends and family members were given preference on shifts, and largely came to make the established employees feel as if their talents and abilities didn’t matter. When confronted with this he let managers, such as myself interview them, however when me or another lead would object he’d argue we needed bodies, or that really we had no choice. Add to this a lax call out policy, people could show up or not, could harass other…
My boss seems to hate me. Sees every mistake. Ignored ever positive and gas openly mocked/reprimanded me in front of coworkers. “Gee Ummah, do you even know your job cuz I notice Sally does all the work” I do the work I'm assigned, that single task was assigned to Sally. But no matter how much good I do I'm put down and compared to Sally. Am I even worth anything Why are we employed
She literally made this rule up so that my coworker is not allowed to earn her pay.
I searched but didn't see anything, so I went ahead and reserved /r/railstrike2022. I think it's a good idea since it's very difficult to get information about the strike right now. Any question you google will return articles about the bill in congress – so it's very difficult to even figure out even basic information like which unions are involved and how many people they represent.
I have the email that states the initial pay for my seasonal position but when I went back through my browser history, the job posting was taken down. What is up, however, is a non seasonal position with the lesser amount posted. l also called the main connecting manager and was told that the lesser amount was correct. I've contacted hr via online request but I'm just wondering what to do in the meantime and if they deny that I'm being paid the incorrect amount.
Am I sorry?
So this happened via emails: Supervisor says its ok to take 2 days off after Christmas, ehich gives me 1 week. I know we have some new trainees starting with us. I ask if sup was sure twice and offer to be flexible on my vacation if needed. Sup says its no problem and that all will be ok. New trainees start and sup realizes that trainees may not be able to keep up and hits me up a week later to see if I was still “flexible.” My reply: “I offered to be flexible twice and you said no. I already booked my flight.” Sup now has to work the two extra days after Christmas. If you work in a big company always get it in writing. Sorry not sorry.
About three months ago, I applied to a Wawa gas station near my area because my primary job had cut my hours and I wanted to do something to get those hours back. A week after I had sent the application I went into the store to check on the status of my application. They asked for my name and phone number and said they’d look at it. They never called me regarding anything. Eventually I just assumed that they turned me down and I moved on from wanting to work there. But imagine my surprise when earlier TODAY I get an email response to my application. “We appreciate your interest in Wawa and the time you’ve taken to share your background and experience with us. Upon review, your application was not selected to move to the next phase of the selection process for the Customer Service Associate position.” Would…
