I have the email that states the initial pay for my seasonal position but when I went back through my browser history, the job posting was taken down. What is up, however, is a non seasonal position with the lesser amount posted. l also called the main connecting manager and was told that the lesser amount was correct. I've contacted hr via online request but I'm just wondering what to do in the meantime and if they deny that I'm being paid the incorrect amount.

So this happened via emails: Supervisor says its ok to take 2 days off after Christmas, ehich gives me 1 week. I know we have some new trainees starting with us. I ask if sup was sure twice and offer to be flexible on my vacation if needed. Sup says its no problem and that all will be ok. New trainees start and sup realizes that trainees may not be able to keep up and hits me up a week later to see if I was still “flexible.” My reply: “I offered to be flexible twice and you said no. I already booked my flight.” Sup now has to work the two extra days after Christmas. If you work in a big company always get it in writing. Sorry not sorry.

About three months ago, I applied to a Wawa gas station near my area because my primary job had cut my hours and I wanted to do something to get those hours back. A week after I had sent the application I went into the store to check on the status of my application. They asked for my name and phone number and said they’d look at it. They never called me regarding anything. Eventually I just assumed that they turned me down and I moved on from wanting to work there. But imagine my surprise when earlier TODAY I get an email response to my application. “We appreciate your interest in Wawa and the time you’ve taken to share your background and experience with us. Upon review, your application was not selected to move to the next phase of the selection process for the Customer Service Associate position.” Would…

I'm a new employee and they're doing a secret santa where the minimum is $25. And then we have three doctors that work with us, where we're being asked to each contribute $50 to throw into a pot for gift cards for them. I really don't feel comfortable doing this. What do I say?

The senate just now voted no on providing 1 week guaranteed paid sick leave for rail workers, which would've stopped the strike from happening. They then immediately and overwhelmingly voted yes on a tentative “agreement” illegalizing future freight rail workers strikes.
