So I figured I would share my story here as I think it could help others. So back before the pandemic ( late Nov 2019') I was completely fed up with my job, the industry I worked in (sales) and most of the type of people I had to work with for the previous 15 years. Earlier that summer i was given a big promotion and then a week or two later my boss was fired and we got a new guy. He came in and started firing people left and right and putting his friends and family members in well paying positions. When I got the promotion I was excited about the new challenges but after a few months I realized that this new boss had other plans. I’m a healthcare worker and way back in Janurary 2022 I received an email that staff members would be receiving payment for getting fully vaccinated and working through the pandemic from Sep 2020 and Aug 2021. both of which I did. I kind of forgot about it and only remembered recently I’m supposed to be expecting it but haven’t received either payment.

Hello! I’m 28F, with symptoms of social phobia. I currently have a high-paying job that is very stressful. My work is being watched by many eyes, which i eventually got accustomed to, despite my social phobia. My problem is that my superior never commends me when I’m doing my job correctly (sometimes i would go beyond his expectations), but I would get called out with small mistakes. He would commend my colleagues but not mention my name. I get ignored in our group chats. I am honestly fed up with being treated like this. I’m losing my sleep; im now feeling sick due to the stress. My only reward in all of these is that the pay is high. Who here left their high-paying stressful job and who are still putting up with it?

So I work retail long story short coworker put in a request off because he got his dad Eagles tickets to the SNF Eagles/Packers game tomorrow. Well work scheduled my coworker till 8 I was suppose to be done at 4. Dude called work and now instead of me getting call or text from manager I'm getting a text from my GF them telling her to tell me I'm working till 7. They have to ask first since the schedule is already up. Other issue is I'm going to the game with my Uncle as my cousin has a newborn exactly 3 Months old tomorrow sick. His wife wants him to stay home so my uncle texted me about going so I told him yes. I work close enough I told them with an 8:15 or so game I can get there if I work till 6 or so. They…

I’m currently a fulltime college student working 40+ hrs a week. There’s only two workers, me and my manager. For my upcoming semester in January I asked for Tuesday/Wednesday off, but I keep being met with “we can’t promise that. It might have to be alternating between Tuesday and Thursday”. I feel annoyed because I worked all by myself for 4 days (along with during Black Friday) because she wanted to attend a wedding. What should I do? I make good money for my age but should I look for another job? (only been working here for a little more than 2months).

I got a text from a girl (that she included my bos in) at work saying I refunded a patient and how basically incompetent I am and now she needs to call the patient and ask them for double the money. I was seriously confused because you need a code to refund a patient from the machine and because I’m semi new there I don’t have the code. So I go into work yesterday and the first thing the boss says to me is “you owe me money for refunding the patient I’m seriously mad about it” I was pissed because I KNOW I didn’t do that. So, I called the bank merchant. They confirmed to me that there was no refunds that day and they got their information wrong. So I texted the girl and asked her where she put the receipt for that patient, and after reviewing it…

I’m wondering if anyone has any ideas for how to make money without working a 9-5 corporate job. Personally, I want to live and work off grid, but I’m taking any ideas. I’m trying to think of work from home ideas or side hobbies that you can make bank off of. If anyone has any good sources, websites, organizations, etc., please also feel free to share.

I work at a doctors office that doesn’t let us have lunch breaks . We don’t get paid pto or sick days . No insurance or benefits. No 401k and no holiday or overtime . I had covid a few weeks back and I had to work with it with no sick time or paid leave . Same for my co worker . They don’t care about your mental health at all. I asked my boss about the system the have in plan if anyone at the office gets pregnant and he said choices . We chose to work there and we need to worry about condoms . All of the women at my job are 25 yrs + . If we want kids that shouldn’t be a second thought because the job we have been at for years will fire us or we will not get paid for doctor…

How am I supposed to respond to that? Boomers are constantly saying “good for you!” if they see me working on a holiday or filling in for a sick staff member when I am at work during an unusual time. Is it good for me that I'm working on a holiday? Is it good for me that I get a call at 6am stating staff isn't showing up so I have to cancel my day off to come in to work? Female Boomers also love to comment when they see me cleaning or with a vacuum in hand. “Nice to see a man doing women's work!” I shit you not. They mean it as a compliment.
