No one understands why…
Hey y’all. I’m really stressed about this and hoping to get some advice. 🙁 I did also post this in legaladvice in case there’s legal action I can take. Basically, I had a paycheck from 2020 from my old job that I had lost and recently found and tried to deposit to my bank. The check was returned unpaid and my bank charged me a fee. My bank informed me the account on the check has no funds and is closed. They advised me to reach out to my old employer and did say although the check is old they usually honor it as long as there are available funds. When I reached out to my old employer and asked if there’s any way they can reissue me a new check, they told me there is no way they can check on an old check from 2020, that it’s “impossible”.…

Days of availability
Just got into a debate with my MIL about my spouses work situation. It’s the holidays and he was recently hired, he’s also a student in an advanced course, so he has little time to do all his assignments. So much so that he only has thanksgiving and the day before off, when usually university’s give you a whole week off. His job is now telling him everyone has to work Sundays (which they told him he’d have off) and he now has to work nights (which he asked off, and they agreed, since he’s a student). My MIL seems to think it’s ok since it’s the holidays, he wants to make money, and he’s (seemingly, not confirmed) gonna have off for new years. I obviously disagree, it’s the schedulers fault for not planning ahead of time and the managers fault for not properly communicating all requirements prior to my…
Suddenly my bank info is wrong?
So I've been working at my job for maybe close to a year and a half and the entire time I've had direct deposit. Never had an issue. I wake up this morning to an email from 4 days ago(I dont always check my work email and my HR never responds back to anything unless it's COVID related. It says my bank info I gave them was “incorrect” yet this entire time I've been getting paid properly through direct deposit. Sure I coulda checked my email faster but how was I supposed to know?? Plus WHY WOULD MY BANK INFO SUDDENLY BE INCORRECT??
Last Day is Today
It’s noon, and I haven’t checked an email or looked at my work phone. It was vibrating earlier (someone calling). Just leave me alone, and let me drop my shit off, and go.
