In ancient Egypt, much of the population depended on the state for food and basic supplies. Many worked on public projects, collecting and transporting materials or building monuments, temples, and tombs. Although slaves did much of the work, a significant number of paid builders and craftsmen were hired to make up the workforce. At that time, the equivalent of a salary was food. When the state decided to reduce the food supplies, some of the craftsmen who worked in the royal necropolis of Deir el-Medina, in the mid-12th century B.C. sustained the first strike ever documented in history. The state did not listen to their complaints, causing an exodus, as most workers left the city and formed settlements and villages, never to return. That period is acknowledged as the exact moment when Ancient Egypt started to collapse. And it never recovered. This historical fact provides us with a couple of…
Walgreens: Pharmacy or Bank?
A lot of employees are being manipulated and driven out of the company. My manager left 2 weeks ago because of this person. I am trying to leave now. Is there any point to try to tell the CEO or something? Or just cut my losses and run without a peep and avoid burning a bridge? I’ve already complained to the manipulatior’s boss and she sided with him. My manager quit after being in that meeting. It’s a toxic workplace.

Well, I got the job stocking shelves with their product, but then found out that even though the job listing was in my neighboring town I was required to drive my personal vehicle all over their region on order to fill in on people's days off. Fine, not bad seeing as they were paying mileage, and I was making a little less than $17 an hour back in 2018 at 19 years old. I got my first promotion after only a year, and it was a nightmare. I set up gas station coolers for the contracts they signed with my company. It was like $1 more an hour, so I was like, “Dope, more money.” Unfortunately, they…
I'm a 28 year old autistic man with adhd and social anxiety. I understand that i'm not a perfect candidate and that my cv is not the best in the world but… cmon. Don't tell me my cv has to to PERFECT to get a parttime job cleaning hotel rooms and toilets. “We were really looking for someone with more experience” FUCK YOU! Don't put “no experience required” in your vacancy when you want me to have experience and also not when experience is not that important. Why are so many employers such picky bastards. Why isn't it acceptable that i'm a flawed human being that is trying my best and give me a chance?

Anyone else love life?
My home girl came through with the dank Cali Weed. This shit is beautiful. I love life, I love people. I've realized I'm demisexual. I like everyone and all types. I might be into polygamy or an open relationship. Idk yet. I'm figuring it out, and I love my job, my hours, my future, and what I've got planned for the next few years. I'm manifesting my destiny one day at a time. I've got such a solid structure for success here in my head, on paper, and i've figured out 30% of my business for the past 3 evenings. Thank you Ice Cream Bar for being my most productive strain Life works in mysterious ways!
