Packers Sanitation Services is said to have employed 31 children, some as young as 13, cleaning up slaughterhouses with severe chemicals during the NIGHT SHIFTS. This, the 31 children employed to work at night handling chemicals with shit and blood, is in one of the facilities investigated by NLRB. The company operates another 400 sites. This country is FUCKED UP. We haven't even said goodbye to the kind of medieval exploitation, let alone made the world a better place. We shouldn't waste our breath on discussing how to tax these people. We should take all of their shit and jail them for life. i was calling today to notify i was still sick (i have been for the last month and i've missed more than three weeks of school + got many tardies) and my boss goes off on me about how this is unacceptable and demands a doctor's note but i asked during the early stages if they wanted a doctor's note and they said “a doctor's note won't help you, (my name)” sooo like ??? they said i am in for some counseling and i asked what that was and they said written up and i was like oh okay and they yelled at me some more and i was like okay because there was nothing i could say at that point soo like what do i do :,)
An antidote to Anti-Work
Hey, folks. I get emails from my manager fairly often (one is too many from him). I work in a clinical position in a hospital. The “mispunch assignment” is an assignment he makes us do where we tell him why our clock punches were somehow irregular (e.g., didn't take a lunch, clocked in late, etc.); we write in a book, sign it ourselves, and have a charge nurse sign it. We have to give him the number of mispunches, what it was, and what we plan to do to ensure it doesn't happen again. Note: the only changes I've made to this is redacting names and formatting so it looks more like the email.
