These Corporations all have dumb ass Mission Statements, goals, campaigns and objectives. I think it could be fun and give everyone a laugh to post honest Mission Statements, goals, campaigns or objectives for corporations. It can be the Company you work for, a big corporation that exploits their employees, whatever your imagination can come up with. I work for USPS. Seeking Advice – Breaking Point
First time posting here, looking for some unbiased advice. Long story here, but figure context is necessary. Current status: I have a well paying job, with great benefits (insurance, 401k, private pension, etc). I’m an IT infrastructure manager, overseeing data centers. My boss is a good guy, but very hands off, leaving me isolated on an island. The people that work for me (inherited) are vastly incapable of doing the work and I pickup the swath of slack. Background: I started with this company over 12 years ago. I have a few college courses in the books but not even an associates degree. I was a shitty student with no direction, but knew how to work. Gonna keep it short: texted my boss that I was not feeling well and taking PTO. Coworkers tell me boss was saying: is he asking? Is it a statement? Why doesn't he answer his phone? Like bro….pretty sure I TOLD you I'm not coming in, not asking for the day off.
Imagine you play monopoly with your friends. When you start all the properties are maxed with hotel and are already owned by the guy who bringed the game. Since he own the rulesbook he add rules that help him. like a rules named inflation that boost price every few turn. He also lowered the amount you obtain when you pass go and take 30% of the what remain. You cannot pay? No problem he lend you money with interest or send you to jail. Would you play that game?
Going to be rather vague but I'm just looking to see if this is all legal or if I have any course of actions if my employer decides to fire me. This is also Work From Home. -Hired for 7 weeks training, 3 weeks in they changed it to 4 weeks and that last week seemed to be rushed training for an entirely different role. The previous 3 weeks training covered some basics of the programs used but overall taught us things I haven't dealt with a single time in nearly two months. -I was using programs outside of work hours to study, HR contacted me about it and said 'please do not study outside of work hours for liability reasons, if you feel you need more training ask the trainer or contact us here at HR'. -When training was reduced to 4 weeks and I felt rushed and improperly…
