Toxic non-profit boss with drug problem
Asking for a friend (no really!) my friend got a job with a nonprofit a few months ago. They have a HUGE annual event critical to the nonprofit’s mission and my friend has been one of only two people on staff making it happen. She’s been hustling hard but her boss is non-communicative and scattered so it’s been tough. This organization and position in general has had a ton of turnover in the last few years. So a few weeks ago, after a great performance review, he called her into his office and said she wasn’t doing a good job and asks too many questions and he needed to see improvement pronto. She was confused and asked for clarification and he said “why do you always get defensive?” A couple days later he randomly brought her in again and said “I’m about to kick you out the door” and told…
Midwest School District Teacher Pay
So many people are going further into debt to meet their basic needs because they aren't paid enough. And is everyone just hoping a solution pops up? What's gona happen to all those people when they can't get caught up?

My director gave in and here I am, working my fucking ass off and not even being recognised? They put me through a leadership program but promised me a manager position in the end, yet gave a supervisor who’s not been fighting for it the position and there’s me who’s been fighting…

I have a year's experience with cleaning and desinfection at a healthcare facility. 5 hours a day, small collective, good pay, boss was very helpful and human to everyone. I had to quit this job because of moving across the country (family reasons). Since then i've been jobless for almost 5 months. I applied to over 20 places since. I found this 8hrs a day cleaning job, mostly sweeping hallways and stairs. It left me feeling so stressed out and confused tho. There are so many things that stressed me out. The bosses watch me all the time, want me to sweep in a very specific (and stupid) way. A lot of stupid uneccesary rules instead of letting me work with my own efficient system i'm used to. My coworkers…
