Will my current employer be notified?
Had an interview at a much better place of work, was offered the job and hiring process has started! I'll be employed by the city, so I'll have government benefits and such, but that also means the hiring process will be longer and include things like drug testing. Will my current employer be notified of things like that? Not planning on giving notice yet since I likely won't be able to start the new job til right after the new year, and just want to avoid as much confrontation as possible leaving this place.
