I get what they are trying to say, but it still sounds stupid to me. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced something like this before.
I’m fucking livid. i got this job at a kitchen a month ago. 6 to 4, 10 hours for minimum wage and unstable hours. sometimes we leave at 4:30 or even 5 PM. it’s shitty and exploitative, but it’s something to do, and I learn a lot (I’m studying to be a chef). I have no written contract a verbal agreement with my boss about the hours and pay, and I’m “on trial” for the next 2 months, after that I’ll be elligible for a “formal” contract if I pass the trial. but then this week comes along and they’re telling all of us that we need to work from 4:30 AM to 6 PM (at the least) for friday, saturday, monday and tuesday. no compensation in the form of payment or days off. now I’m no labor lawyer but this is some grade-A bullshit. I hate it because the…
I work as entry level IT we work in shifts most of us are mid 20`s but there's one dude that around 50 now most of the time he`s cool sometimes say stupid and annoying stuff which is I guess part of work. Now there's like on average 3-4 hours to study “do nothing” so sometimes I like to overstay and study just to not wait for traffic, of course I'm asking the manager for permission to stay. But today this dude came a little grumpy and he was like after he heard me asking the manager to stay which meant It turned into a 12 hour shift for me, he basically just goes like “your`e fucking it for everyone else who wants to overstay” now yes I get it doing it everyday not gonna look good or but I don't think he needs to say stuff like that, should…
I have been working at this job a few months now with pay is okay (could be better) and work environment is okay (stressful at times) as well. But I digress sure some stuff I do not know. But I do not know why some higher ups decide to take a human error and expand it by 110%. Mind you I apparently need to check a date to confirm if my next steps are valid. At the time my next steps were valid because I was not notified of the client's information to be checked on. I took a assumption and went through with it. Now earlier today, a higher up voiced concerns that it looks bad from a client's standpoint. Yea sure it can, but some clients sometimes do not care. Maybe they are grateful that I gave a shit and was prepared to take the necessary measures. (As…
