8 months pregnant a month away from maternity leave. Employer is trying to force me to take an unpaid medical leave for the month prior to my due date. They are saying it's due to me being high risk but I have been meeting all production goals and have been able to work from my doctors office. I am speaking with an attorney later today but I am so frustrated. They tried to frame it as for my benefit but I am really having difficulty seeing how a month with no wages would benefit me.
I put lie in quotations because it is somewhat subjective, his word against mine, but in my mind it was clearly not the truth based on what happened in the past. Anyway, these alleged lies came out during a meeting after I requested to talk about fairness issues at work. They were used to discredit me in front of another supervisor and basically pushed me even further off track for advancement. The day after this meeting, a new ethics hotline was announced. They say it is anonymous. Should I report this manager? I am looking for new jobs.
I recently read an article that more and more employees start ghosting employers during the application process and that it used to be the other way around, which I can confirm because once I was looking for a job years ago I got ghosted by so many employers. They never even bothered to answer to decline my applications. I even sent portfolios to some of them which cost me money but they never answered and never even sent them back. But when you do it to them, your reputation is on the line. Why not theirs? They have been getting away with it for years! I’m glad that it’s turning around to be honest. Finally they’re getting a taste of their own medicine. Now that it‘s the other way around companies start whining about it. Yeah, doesn’t feel so good, does it?

Despicable Corporate Gaslighting
About 4 Months ago I was “promoted” to supervisor and given a raise. Recently, the boss who promoted me was fired. I also found out a co-worker was given the same pay as me at that time even though I was “supervisor”. Now that the mid-boss was fired, apparently leadership is claiming they had no knowledge I was supervisor. This is a lie and a tactic, it was acknowledged to my face. Imagine my surprise when the new schedule comes out and the other co-worker is listed as supervisor. Management wont listen to reason or logic and just say this fired mid-boss really damaged the company. Apparently he also told the other guy he was getting promoted too. He's more of a people person than I am but not as competent at the actual work. So I know exactly whats going on. Company is going with the boot-licker and also…
How HR Cheats Employees
been fed lies
So I got a job, got told that I wouldn't need to work weekends and that my bonus I could make monthly would be £1000 in the interview process. So my first day, found out that we need to work weekends and the max you can make from your bonus is a max of £450. Not only this I got promised other things and have been told the opposite. I'm now going to quit the job to start working for myself because this has left me with a bitter taste for working for big companies now.
Called out from work at my new job
Thew my back out but I sent in a physician's letter, already called out sick last week, I used to never do this but one thing I've found out is when you try to work while injured or sick it just prolongs recovery, I for one would rather have my employees be on their A game or not come in at all.
