I’m just going to leave this here
The state of this
If you're a director or one of the VPs, shouldn't you be too busy to be doing your second master's online or at night? Why is it that your staff need to commit full time to their job but you can do multiple things? I know staff who can't pursue their master's or another degree because their boss expects them to be available 24/7.
I have been working at this company for a year now and the pay has been really bad. I had debts for the first 8 months but now I'm able to manage only because I cut down my investments from 20% of my salary to 10%. I do not have liquid or cash savings. After paying my bills, I barely have any money left. From the time I wake up to well after midnight, I'm working. I've stopped exercising during the weekdays because my work eats up into my evening when I normally worked out. I sleep so late that I barely get 6 hours of sleep every night. So working out in the morning is not very viable. All this, I could live with. Our appraisals are at the end of the calendar year so I'd been telling myself that I'd find a new job by March if the…
I just had a phone screening interview with a recruiter at an IT company for a technical writing position. The salary range wasn't listed on the job posting, but I submitted my resume anyway as it looked like I was qualified. I shot the recruiter a quick email before the interview asking about the salary and never got a reply. Toward the end of the interview, she asked what my salary requirements were. I said I expected they were compatible with what the company was offering and asked for the range. She then proceeded to tell me that the range wasn't given until after a second, 45 minute interview, based on what I would bring to the table. So, essentially, I am working my ass off to impress them TWICE, all with no idea whether it's even worth it or not. Has anyone else encountered this? I really hope this…
Someone help me.
So I’ll try and explain this the best I can. I work in an office currently and am on salary. We have to clock in through the ADP app. The company is telling us now that if we clock in late we will get docked on our pay but we are still capped out at 80hrs each pay period so if I clock in 5 min early each day I won’t get paid for it. Does that make sense? Is there anything legally wrong with this?
