This is a job making over 6 digits with highly educated people, so I never expected this. My boss doesn't understand the work my department does and allows my senior coworker to run the department. She has made 3 people leave in 2 years. I am the 4th and told him she was the issue. I gave my 3 weeks notice. Last Friday I was on PTO for a minor surgery and took half of my stuff home on Thursday. On Friday, HR called and asked why I took ALL my stuff. My coworker made HR call me. Today, he told me to write my duties of what I've done on the past 10 months. I find it so odd. He wanted our team to talk about it tomorrow and he isn't clear. I'm quite scared because he was mad that I am leaving. Next Friday is my last day,…
One of the comments against remote work I frequently read is: “If you have time to screw around is the whole reason why bosses want us to come back to the office.” The problem I have with this argument is people did a whole lot of screwing around doing nothing even when in the office. It is quite common for workers to get their work done in 3 hours or less and have a lot of time to screw around or pretend to look busy. At least when working remote it eliminates the need to pretend to work.
not just because junk food tend to be cheaper. a big problem no one really talks about it is just the sheer lack of having the funds to actually get out and do anything. weight lose isnt always about actually working out. its about a general level of being “active” you can never go to a gym in your life and still be in good shape as long as you are active. but when you have little or no money it shuts so many doors in life that your options for being active become less and less. if money wasnt so tight maybe i'd go try and new hobby or just go window shopping. maybe if it wasnt so tight i would go bowling instead of just watching tv on a sunday. those little trade offs add up and its showing. more and more people opts not to do stuff…
It makes me sick to think about what has happened to our economy and why.
in your dreams, company!
You can't get someone with 5 years of work experience and proven success to work on commission base only. Why do people still try to insist on such absurd standards? Only newbies and the nieve take commission only sales jobs. Certainly not someone with 5 years of experience who relies on their work for an income. Compensation · This is a 100% commission-based opportunity · There is no limit to your earning potential. You are the creator of your own success · Typical earnings range from $75k to $150k per year, but total earnings are limitless based on your effort and results Requirements · 5+ years of dedicated hospitality and/or recruiting experience in a leadership position such as a Regional or Area Director, Vice President of Operations, Director of Operations, General Manager, Assistant General Manager, Managing Partner, Director of Sales, Recruiting Manager or Human Resource Manager · Strong communication…
Job shadowing or contract to hire could be helpful as well. The lack of trust and ignorance in hiring creates negative energy from the beginning.
A conspiracy to prevent my pay hike.
TLDR; I am (or rather was) on my way to get a significant pay hike based on the structure of my company and how it rewards performances but I'm being deliberately given bad ratings so that I don't qualify for the pay hike. I work in a very niche company and made a radical career switch. I don't know what I'll do if things don't work out here. I'm going to speak to my Team Leader soon probably today or in a couple of days. Looking for advise. Intro: I'll try to keep it short although it's tough to put my situation across without explaining the detailed workings of my job or by keeping it vague for privacy but I'll give it a go. Premise: So the nature of my job is such that we're evaluated every 4 months and based on our performance and stats at the end of…
workers less productive in America
https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/2022/10/31/productivity-down-employers-worried-recession/ The funny thing is they don't know why exactly. Well studies show workers are really productive for like 3-4 hrs a day. Add on top of that workers filling in for others because not enough people available. And you get people working more hours but producing shit quality. Longer hours doesn't equal good quality.
