So I use to work for a medical group that says they are non profit, but have every other group but Corporate is for profit division making over 5 billion a year in revenue.
The reason I am bringing this all up is about a year ago I ended my employment with them of a year on April 1st. One of the reasons I left is they cheated me out of my yearly bonus as in their HR system they fired me and then rehired me under a different manager causing me to lose my year end bonus as I had only been “rehired” in their eyes for 2 months. This bonus would have been roughly between 14-15k and one of the reasons I joined in the first place as the pay was meh.
At the start of this year I got medical cards from this company and figured it may have been a fluke. But no, I then got a job offer with waaay better benefits than I was getting at the time and I took it. When HR at the new company ran the background search it said I still worked for said company, and when they called the medical groups HR they told them that I was listed under a different job title that was not apart of the field I worked in. Like… I work in IT and it listed as a Doctor of sorts.
So I contacted some of my friends who still work there and they have quite a few people who are listed as employee's who have since quit, like just about all of them. When I spoke to HR about this they told me I would need to send in my resignation and then my manager on file would have to fill out the paperwork to make it so… My manager they have me listed under no longer works there as well.
Never heard of this before and kinda wondering if anyone else has.
