TL,DR- instead of signing another overpriced lease I am going to wander around Canada. If anyone has any input on finding cheap shelter & travel around Canada
Hey all,
I'm looking for tips, tricks, & recommendations for cheap shelter (Cheap travel methods welcomed too) while backpacking. After finishing university, yet unable to attain meaningful employment (I've applied to ≥300 jobs in the last ), I have to adapt to reality. Instead of signing another unaffordable lease & continuing the search for the mythical living wage, I'm make substantial changes. I'm going to wander around the country until I find employment, purpose, or death.
I've got 12+ years of experience in the service, financial , technology, & mental health industries, 7+years post-secondary [Certificate→ HBA→ Post-Grad], & tons of other useful accomplishments/skills. I owe just over $100,000 to the govt for my education. I believed wholeheartedly that my intelligence, experience, knowledge, & skills would get me a job from which I could build a life-worth-living. Unfortunately, after 18 months of job-hunting with an HBA, I have nothing to show for it.
Re: Shelter- I don't need a lot of space, amenities, or services, I am just wanting a safe place to cry myself to sleep. Ideally, finding a place to crash @ $20-$50 per night, this would allow me a nightly reprieve.
TIA for the help, sorry for the rambling.
