Preparing to sue my former bosses.

I lost my job making a fairly decent wage a few months ago. The whole thing was an absolute shit-show. Essentially it ended with the company owner's father (a designated officer of the company) shouting profanities at me while telling me not to come back. The entire reason for this is because I refused to sign a new contract- I preferred to keep my old, open ended contract because the new contract took away all time off benefits and buried us under a mountain of NDAs. I remembered that my contract included a severance package in the event of termination without notice, but I couldn't find it for a few months. Well, I've finally found it. It does indeed contain a severance clause. I knew the clause existed for sure because these idiots sent me a letter through certified mail confirming it existed and stating their refusal to release it.…

I knew the clause existed for sure because these idiots sent me a letter through certified mail confirming it existed and stating their refusal to release it. I kept all the paperwork, including the letters, the contract, and an ammendium to the contract raising my wage above the wage stated in the origional contract. I plan to contact an attorney soon to get the money they owe me.

Also, on top of keeping my severance, they refused to pay me for the 4 hours I worked the day I got fired. I have evidence and witnesses proving I worked that day, so I'm going to use that to cause whatever damage I can. If anyone has any recommendations or advise, it is certainly most welcome.
