So a friend I used to work with keeps getting left by themselves at a big yellow corporate dollar store. I mentioned it in my resignation letter when I quit 2 days before Thanksgiving when they left them alone with the ridiculous expectation of the store being 100% perfect before a regional visit while they were puking between customers for 4 hours (I came in and covered her then quit that day).
I just found out from them that they have been left alone at least 3 separate occasions in the past week because of their lack of staff and because they know that they need the money to care for their child. They're taking advantage of my friends situation in that way and it isn't okay. The DM, GM, and ASM all know this is happening and think that there's nothing they can do.
What I want to know is who the f*ck I can report this to in order to make a significant difference. Multiple people have called HR in regards to this situation but it seems nothing is being done about it. I know for a fact there's gotta be some way this is mega illegal. I just want them to stop taking advantage of my friend and quitting didn't seem to work.
