Been working for a tech company for a while (6 months) in a PM function. The second I hit the ground, I realized what a dumpster fire senior management was. Zero steer on priorities, no organization whatsoever.
Of course, it’s never the company’s fault, so my probation has been extended because I can’t plan for projects that never happen, get cancelled, or replaced by the next “important” thing.
Thankfully, this trash company won’t even touch my CV because I took a self-employed sabbatical and can pretend it never existed when finding a replacement.
Jesus, am I tired of corporations though. The team was still delivering. Work was still getting done. Keeping a job shouldn’t be so hard.
